Electrifying mobility: analyzing the rise of electric vehicles in São Paulo city

Resumo

Objective: The study aims to analyze the growth and current state of the electric vehicle (EV) market in São Paulo, Brazil's leader in this sector, focusing on recent regional data.

Method: An exploratory study with a qualitative approach was conducted, using documentary research based on information about vehicular electrification in São Paulo. This involved analyzing data from governmental sources and official documents.

Results: The research found a significant increase in EV sales in São Paulo. It indicates Brazil's efforts to meet the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. However, the pace of transition to electric mobility in São Paulo is slower compared to other global regions.

Conclusions: The study concludes that while EVs are gaining prominence in São Paulo, further initiatives and strategies are needed to accelerate the transition to electric mobility. This includes addressing challenges and learning from global trends in EV adoption.
