Empreendedorismo Sustentável No Agronegócio: O Caso de uma Cooperativa Agroindustrial

Objetivo: Identificar as práticas sustentáveis em uma cooperativa agroindustrial do Rio Grande do Sul - RS (estado do sul do Brasil conhecido por sua significativa participação na produção nacional do agronegócio), correlacionando-as aos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODSs) da Agenda 2030, além de analisar como o empreendedorismo sustentável está transformando a vida das famílias e o espaço onde vivem.
Metodologia/abordagem: O estudo utilizou coleta de dados primários por meio de entrevista semiestruturada ocorrida em julho de 2020 com a Coordenadora Ambiental, também fez uso de dados secundários com observação, análise documental por meio de consulta ao site da cooperativa, documentos e controles internos para gerar convergência de evidências e fortalecer a validade de construto por meio da triangulação de fontes, em que os achados do estudo de caso são sustentados por mais de uma fonte de evidências.
Originalidade/Relevância: O empreendedorismo sustentável refere-se à descoberta, criação e exploração de oportunidades de negócios que contribuam para a sustentabilidade, gerando ganhos socioambientais para a sociedade.
Principais conclusões: A Cooperativa estudada assume um papel de responsabilidade socioambiental através das atividades desenvolvidas que geram valor aos cooperados de forma inovadora, segura e sustentável, além de beneficiar a comunidade do entorno com práticas sustentáveis. Foram identificadas práticas educativas e ambientais que contribuem para a promoção da sustentabilidade no agronegócio, como o uso de tecnologias limpas na produção e o manejo adequado dos resíduos gerados pela atividade agroindustrial. Essas práticas geram ganhos socioambientais para a sociedade.
Contribuições teóricas/metodológicas: Este estudo traz uma relevante contribuição teórica ligada à sustentabilidade e ao empreendedorismo no agronegócio a partir de achados nas práticas de uma cooperativa. Para além de contribuir também a nível ambiental, este trabalho contribui para contribuir para os pilares financeiro e social que a sustentabilidade engloba.
